AMANDA PEARL JEWELRY CARE
AMANDA PEARL brass jewelry is plated in either 18k yellow gold, 18k rose gold, rhodium (silver), or dark ruthenium (gunmetal). To ensure the life of brass jewelry, do not expose it to water. Please remove your jewelry while exercising, bathing, swimming, or engaging in hand to hand combat. We recommend keeping it on for political protests and executive meetings. Also to avoid: contact with perfumes, lotions, potions, or other personal products.
AMANDA PEARL recommends cleaning your plated jewelry using a damp, soft cloth. Make sure to fully dry the piece before wearing it. Do not use harsh chemicals, jewelry cleaners, or polishing cloths especially, as this will affect the finish. We suggest storing your brass jewelry somewhere soft and protected - the pouch that we provide is a good spot. Please remember that as this is not fine jewelry and needs to be treated accordingly - we highly recommend that you follow these instructions carefully to be able to enjoy your AMANDA PEARL jewelry for years to come.
Extra care should be taken with your pearls. Cosmetics, hair sprays, and perfume should be applied before putting on pearl jewelry. Extra care can be taken by wiping the pearl carefully with a soft cloth to remove any traces of these substances when you take off the jewelry. You can also wash your pearl with mild soap and water. Do not clean cultured pearls with any chemicals, abrasives or solvents.
All enamel used in AMANDA PEARL jewelry is handmade - and while it is a strong and long-lasting material, it is still a delicate work of art.
Please keep enamel away perfumes, hand cremes, detergents, soap, and liquid and ultrasonic jewelry cleaners. To clean enamel jewelry, use a soft toothbrush or cloth with warm water. Rinse and wipe with a soft cloth to dry. Accidentally dropping enamel jewelry on a hard floor/surface may cause cracks or chips.
While gold is tarnish resistant, it can get dirty like anything else. To care for your AMANDA PEARL fine jewelry, we recommend cleaning it with a mild detergent or ammonia solution. You can use a soft brush but avoid using an abrasive material as it can scratch the gold. Be sure to rinse and wipe clean.
