1) 3 necklaces. You can certainly go up from here but for most of our everyday looks, 3 necklaces tends to be the sweet spot. Especially if you're new to layering, we suggest this as a starting point that never misses.

2) Vary necklace length. This helps make your neck mess feel more intentional and balanced. When there is overlap in necklace length, it tends to look a bit crowded and your individual necklaces can't shine quite as well.

3) Mix up textures & colors! Whether it's the charms or the chains/necklaces, a dynamic, eye catching neck mess tends to consist of different style chains and charms.
