About the

Gemstone

Padparadscha sapphire glows with the rare, delicate blend of pink and orange found in a lotus blossom at sunrise, and its name comes from the Sinhalese "padma radschen," meaning "lotus blossom." Sri Lanka, historically called Ceylon, is the source of the classic stones, and for centuries these sapphires were treasured by the island's royalty and collectors. In Buddhist and Hindu traditions the lotus symbolizes purity, spiritual awakening, and rising above hardship, so a gem that carries the lotus's color has been cherished as more than beautiful. Padparadscha is among the rarest of all sapphires, and the finest stones are so coveted that gemologists and collectors still debate exactly where pink ends and orange begins.

Metaphysically, padparadscha is considered a stone of creativity and emotional renewal, believed to ignite joy, awaken inspiration, and gently restore a sense of warmth and optimism. Radiant, rare, and steeped in symbolism, padparadscha sapphire is a gem for anyone ready to bloom into their next chapter.

A smattering of pink to orange padparadscha sapphires in different cuts on a white surface.

    Opal bracelet

When I ordered my bracelet and received it in fast fashion I was rather disappointed that the colors were darker than the picture on line. I’m sure photos show up differently than “ real life” but I think a comment made on the website could have been more accurate. I’m keeping my bracelet but will wear it with darker outfits than what I wanted. I do appreciate the care info on care of my bracelet.
